The Virchow Prize, awarded by the non-profit Virchow Foundation, is a major international award which recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievements towards “health for all” that are closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

This year, the Virchow Prize Lecture and Virchow Prize Ceremony will celebrate its 5th anniversary, being held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Rotes Rathaus Berlin (Berlin City Hall), hosted by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, High Patron of the Virchow Foundation, and followed by a reception.
