The ‘Global Health Policy Lab’ (GHPL) aims to be the leading AI-enabled platform designed for health policy-making, providing comprehensive tools for accessing, comparing, and generating evidence-driven health policies, supported by an inter-disciplinary team of global health, policy and technology experts.

This collaborative initiative currently involves the Charité Center for Global Health (Berlin), the Health Systems Innovation Lab at Harvard University (Boston), the NOVO IMS Center for Global Health (Lisbon), and a growing number of other international partners. The GHPL is led by Dr Branwen Hennig (GHPL Executive Director), it is supported and executed under the umbrella of the Virchow Foundation, and working in association with the World Health Summit (WHS) and the UNITE Parliamentarians for Global Health Network (UNITE).

By leveraging new technologies, the GHPL’s mission is to empower policymakers at all levels to transform evidence-based recommendations into concrete laws, policies, awareness campaigns and other political interventions. Ultimately the vision is to make evidence-informed policy development a universal reality, to contribute to improved access to care and a healthier population at a global scale.
