Registration opens for the Virchow Prize for Global Health Award Ceremony 2022

Registration for the inaugural Virchow Prize for Global Health Award Ceremony is open.

The Virchow Prize for Global Health is a major international award of the highest prestige, which honours laureates for their outstanding achievements in addressing the complex global health challenges faced today.  Endowed with €500,000, this prize is awarded annually by the non-profit Virchow Foundation for Global Health. The award ceremony is held for the first time this fall under the High Patronage of the German Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Join the global health community and distinguished guests for this special ceremony in Berlin, celebrating the first Virchow Prize for Global Health laureate on the evening of October 15, 2022. 

For this award ceremony, the Virchow Foundation for Global Health is thrilled to be partnering with the World Health Summit (WHS). The WHS is the world’s leading global health conference, co-organised this year with the World Health Organization (WHO). Guests of the Virchow Prize for Global Health are cordially invited to attend both the Prize ceremony and the WHS conference in the days immediately following – hosting a truly exciting and dynamic weekend for global health in Berlin.
